Proxmox Host pve250 / Director

Proxmox hardware node (NucBoxG9) at 10.0.0.250; cluster HomeLab (Director plus echo plus forge); hosts CT121/123/124/125/126/127/128; SSH-reachable from Mac via alias Director; pct exec ID runs in-namespace as uid 0.

Body

Proxmox Host pve250 / Director

Purpose

Director (pve250) is the primary Proxmox hardware node in the lab. It is the hypervisor for most of the lab's LXC containers (CT121, CT123, CT124, CT125, CT126, and the newer CT127/CT128). It is reachable as root from the operator's MacBook Air via the SSH alias "Director", and pct exec <ID> provides credential-free in-namespace exec as uid 0 for any container it hosts.

Current State

  • Status: active.
  • Hardware: NucBoxG9.
  • LAN: 10.0.0.250.
  • Proxmox cluster: "HomeLab" (3 nodes: Director, echo, forge).
  • SSH reachable from: operator MacBook Air (alias pve250 / Director).
  • Hosts: CT121, CT123, CT124, CT125, CT126 (and CT127/CT128 per 2026-06-25 diaries).

Cluster Peers (R8: mentioned, not separate entries)

  • echo: Proxmox cluster peer; hosts the RTX3060 GPU worker used by the Cortex embedding pipeline on CT103.
  • forge: Proxmox cluster peer; hosts CT103 (Cortex production).
  • echo and forge are NOT actively managed as separate lab surfaces per operator memory — they are referenced here so agents know they exist, but per Wave 6 R8 they are not given their own hardware entries.

Key Components

  • SSH alias on Mac: pve250 -> root@10.0.0.250.
  • Container management: pct <command> <ID> (exec, reboot, stop, start, snapshot, destroy).
  • Storage: local-lvm (257GB free as of 2026-06-25 per cockpit deploy notation).
  • Cluster peers: echo (RTX3060 GPU worker host), forge (CT103 host).

Relationships

  • Hosts: uai-doc-ecosystem-hardware-ct121, -ct123, -ct124, -ct125, -ct126 (and the newer CT127/CT128).
  • SSH jumphost: uai-doc-ecosystem-hardware-macbook-air.
  • Cluster peers: echo, forge (referenced inline per R8 — not separate hardware entries).

Status

active.
