UAI Explorer Completion Audit

Date: 2026-06-20
Timezone: America/St_Johns

Supersession note: this is historical pre-cutover evidence. Production CT 121 was cut over internally to public-safe 0.2.3 on 2026-06-21. Current state is recorded in [REDACTED:high-entropy].md, [REDACTED:high-entropy].md, and [REDACTED:high-entropy].md.

Audit Position

UAI Explorer is migration-ready in sandbox CT 126, but the overall project is not fully complete. The remaining items require operator approval or separate hardware identity work: the separate dormant/future Proxmox node identity, Proxmox storage retention/cleanup policy, real-content promotion from raw survey lanes, and production cutover authorization.

This audit is based on current repo evidence, current sandbox verification, and read-only lab checks. It does not authorize production changes.

A generated handoff summary is available at [REDACTED:high-entropy].md; regenerate it with tools/build_finish_status_packet.py after evidence changes.

A generated operator intake packet is available at [REDACTED:high-entropy].md; regenerate it with tools/build_operator_decision_packet.py after the finish status packet changes.

Filled operator responses should be validated with [REDACTED:high-entropy].py. The current baseline response template in [REDACTED:high-entropy].json defers every decision and validates to no-authority state.

Requirement Coverage

Requirement Current State Evidence
Follow UAI Explorer rules and sandbox protocol. Done for this work session. Production CT 121 was not mutated; sandbox CT 126 was used. UAI_EXPLORER_RULES.md, docs/runbooks/sandbox-protocol.md, [REDACTED:high-entropy].md.
Public-safe login and user layers. Done in sandbox. Local users, roles, tags, sessions, admin user management, and tag-gated catalog access exist and are tested. server.py, tests/test_public_safe.py, [REDACTED:high-entropy].md, [REDACTED:high-entropy].md.
Human/AI separation. Done in sandbox. Human catalog/content routes and /api/ai/* routes are separate, role-gated, bounded, redacted, and audited. server.py, tests/test_public_safe.py, README.md, [REDACTED:high-entropy].md.
Redacted public view. Done for curated catalog and AI packets. Redaction is server-side and raw filesystem/upload APIs are refused in public-safe mode. server.py, tests/test_public_safe.py, /ready evidence in [REDACTED:high-entropy].md.
Harden raw survey boundary. Done for sandbox runtime. CT 126 readiness fails if raw-survey-zone is mounted, and refreshes exclude raw-survey-zone and sanitized-exports. server.py, tests/test_public_safe.py, docs/runbooks/sandbox-protocol.md, [REDACTED:high-entropy].md.
Private selected-redaction lane. Done as tested workers, but not yet run against real operator-selected Zenbook/MacBook/Cadence raw content. The lane now includes selected redaction, approval-gated catalog import prep, approved artifact staging into a catalog root, and explicit-apply staged catalog database import. tools/redact_selected_artifacts.py, tools/prepare_catalog_import.py, tools/stage_approved_catalog.py, tools/import_staged_catalog.py, tests/test_redact_selected_artifacts.py, tests/test_prepare_catalog_import.py, tests/test_stage_approved_catalog.py, tests/test_import_staged_catalog.py, [REDACTED:high-entropy].md, [REDACTED:high-entropy].md, [REDACTED:high-entropy].md, [REDACTED:high-entropy].md.
Professional human UX and Explorer 2.0 design slice. Done as a dashboard/UX slice with evidence, not a final full product. static/, docs/plans/explorer-2.0-ux-blueprint.md, [REDACTED:high-entropy].md.
Documentation organization model. Done for current planning/catalog spine. Runbooks, plans, evidence, surveys, diary, collection shelf, source passport, device index, and start files exist. README.md, START_HERE_AI.md, START_HERE_UAI_LAB.md, docs/runbooks/, [REDACTED:high-entropy].md.
Device documentation surveys. Partially done. NUC-IPEX, MacBook-Air, and Zenbook metadata surveys exist. Zenbook is complete for UAI Explorer scope with no UAI Explorer follow-up required. Dormant/future node is not identified; deeper NUC roots are capped; real content still needs selected redaction before catalog promotion. docs/surveys/*-summary.md, docs/evidence/sanitized-export-*-2026-06-20.md, [REDACTED:high-entropy].md.
Preserve out-of-sync ideas. Partially done. Metadata surveys and sanitized exports preserve review candidates without publishing raw content. Actual idea promotion/classification is still pending. raw-survey-zone/, sanitized-exports/, [REDACTED:high-entropy].md.
Device start-here files. Done for Windows workstation and MacBook-Air. Zenbook does not need a UAI Explorer follow-up refresh; future node use belongs to a separate node-onboarding lane. START_HERE_UAI_LAB.md, [REDACTED:high-entropy].md, [REDACTED:high-entropy].md.
Lab node identity. Partially done. Online HomeLab nodes are classified as Director, echo, and forge; visible guests are classified; separate dormant/future node remains unknown. [REDACTED:high-entropy].md.
Proxmox storage review. Read-only review done; mutating cleanup/retention policy is not approved. [REDACTED:high-entropy].md, [REDACTED:high-entropy].md.
Sandbox migration readiness. Done. CT 126 is on UAI Explorer 0.2.3, tests pass, readiness is clean, raw survey folders absent, rollback snapshot documented. [REDACTED:high-entropy].md.
Production cutover. Not done and not authorized. Production CT 121 remains healthy on 0.1.0. README.md, docs/runbooks/migration-ready-runbook.md, [REDACTED:high-entropy].md.

Current Blockers

Blocker Proof Required Closeout
Dormant/future Proxmox node identity Online HomeLab nodes are already classified; no separate powered-on host/IP was found. Operator must power on or identify the separate device, then run metadata survey before cluster join/disk reuse.
Proxmox storage policy Read-only review found snapshot retention and host pressure decisions, but no cleanup approval. Operator must approve retention/cleanup policy before snapshot deletion, backup pruning, migration, or snapshot-heavy work.
Real content promotion Sanitized exports and a public-safe promotion packet exist, and the full mechanical lane through explicit-apply database import is tested. No real raw candidates have been operator-approved, redacted, reviewed, or imported. Operator must select raw candidates for private redaction, review outputs, assign tags/freshness, dry-run import, and apply approved catalog items.
Production cutover Repo state explicitly stops at migration-ready. Operator must authorize a separate cutover runbook, production backup, user/tag seeding, and public route/DNS/TLS decisions.

Verdict

The work is in a professional migration-ready state, not a production-finished state. The code, docs, sandbox, device survey map, and safety lanes are ready for operator decisions. Zenbook is closed for this UAI Explorer survey scope. The remaining work is intentionally blocked at the places where automation should not invent authority.
