Explorer 2.0 Design Survey Local Evidence
Date: 2026-06-20
Supersession note: this is historical local design evidence. The current
production/staging build is 0.2.3; see
[REDACTED:high-entropy].md.
Scope
Local design verification for the Explorer 2.0 dashboard additions:
- documentation spine,
- standards intake matrix,
- operator console saved views and next actions,
- safe command/search surface,
- collection shelf documentation organization,
- source passport trust and lineage profiles,
- survey intake metadata workbench,
- access layer permission preview,
- mode-governed sidebar navigation,
- compact public-safe trust band,
- expanded feature-clone survey.
This evidence uses temporary smoke data only. It does not redeploy sandbox CT
126 and does not modify production CT 121.

- Wiki.js and BookStack: approachable permission and hierarchy language.
- Outline and Docmost: collection/workspace-style knowledge UX with clear access expectations.
- Qeta for Backstage: internal Q&A, knowledge articles, catalog links, permissions, and optional AI answers.
- nb: portable plain-text notes, archiving, tagging, search, Git versioning, sync, and Pandoc conversion.
- Notesium: fast Markdown note search, previews, bi-directional links, and relationship graph panels.

Observed:
- Collection Shelf rendered with five documentation groups: Cortex Operations, Design Doctrine, Cadence Lineage, Runbooks And Evidence, and Raw Survey Zone.
- Collection Shelf showed the publish contract for shelf, book, chapter, page, and raw survey boundaries.
- Collection Shelf kept raw survey material labeled as restricted metadata and did not expose raw browsing or raw source content.
- Query
collectionin the Command Surface returnedReview collection shelfand scrolled the main pane to the Collection Shelf panel. - The
Design Doctrineshelf card jumped to the Standards Intake area. - The
Open authorized catalogaction opened the existing authorized Catalog view with curated entries only. - Collection Shelf desktop
1440, tablet1024, and mobile390width checks had no horizontal overflow. - Access Layers rendered with five permission previews: Public Reader, Cortex Viewer, Code Reviewer, AI Worker, and Admin Operator.
- Access Layers showed summary state for layer count, tag grant model, raw APIs off in public-safe mode, and AI surface as bounded JSON.
- Access Layers showed hard deny gates for anonymous users, required tags, code grants, raw filesystem/raw download/upload refusal, and AI-only bounded context packets.
- Query
accessin the Command Surface returned the Access Layers command and scrolled the main pane to the Access Layers panel. - The
Open user/tag adminaction opened the existing Admin surface with user and catalog management controls. - Access Layers desktop
1440, tablet1024, and mobile390width checks had no horizontal overflow. - Source Passport rendered with five source lanes: UAI Explorer, Zenbook,
MacBook standards, Cadence archive, and sandbox CT
126. - Zenbook Source Passport showed
metadata complete, last-known private IP10.0.0.107,105metadata rows, not requiredExplorer follow-up, andmetadata archivedcatalog state. - Source Passport action jumped to the Device Survey Map.
- Source Passport desktop and mobile states had no horizontal overflow.
- Survey Intake rendered with Zenbook metadata-only state:
105rows,107candidates seen,2suppressed aliases, metadata archivedpublic state, andnot requiredredaction. - Survey Intake showed topic clusters for AI delegation notes, Cortex/Skipper operations, infrastructure operations, verification and reports, Cadence/UAI Orb, Cadence, UAI, Devine, and desktop documentation candidates.
- Survey Intake showed file mix counts for
md,txt, tsv, pdf, andhtml, plus the raw-zone boundary: roots checked, matching root, raw folders not mounted, and catalog promotion not planned for Zenbook. - Survey Intake action jumped to the Safe Operating Loop; Playwright measured
#pipeline-stepsin view with no horizontal overflow. - Initial inline meter styles were blocked by the app CSP, so meter widths were moved to predefined CSS classes. The follow-up browser pass had no CSP inline-style violations.
- Survey Intake desktop
1440, tablet1024, and mobile390width checks had no horizontal overflow. - Command Surface rendered with six default safe actions for catalog, device survey, standards, redaction, AI context, and review queue.
- Query
standardsnarrowed the command results to Devine/Cadence standards intake. - Clicking the filtered standards command scrolled the main pane to Standards Intake.
- Query
Cortexsurfaced the authorized smoke catalog entry, and pressing Enter opened the redacted reader. - The reader showed
Raw content: not sentandRedaction: server-sidefor the command-opened catalog item. - Operator Console rendered on desktop with four saved views and four next actions.
- Operator Console used dark panel tiles with status-colored borders, not the global gold button style.
- The
Open standardsquick action scrolled the main pane to Standards Intake. - Sidebar navigation grouped human work, AI surface, and admin ops for an admin session.
- Dashboard hero rendered a compact trust band for public-safe, server redaction, and human/AI separation.
- Documentation spine rendered on desktop.
- Standards intake matrix rendered on desktop.
- Medium desktop viewport
1024x768had no horizontal overflow. - Mobile viewport
390x844had no horizontal overflow. - Command Surface mobile filtered state had no horizontal overflow.
- Mobile menu opened with grouped navigation labels visible.
- Desktop viewport had no horizontal overflow.
- MacBook Devine/Cadence intake remained visible and readable.
